Have you recently been diagnosed with a movement disorder and are looking for a specialist to help guide your care?

Neurological movement disorders can affect your ability to walk, talk, and move. Living with a progressive movement disorder such as Parkinson’s disease can make everyday movements a struggle. You may also be worried about your future health as the disease progresses. Our team is here to help you get symptom relief and manage the condition long term.

Conditions treated at the clinic include:

Parkinson's disease

A progressive disease of the nervous system marked by tremor, muscular rigidity, and slow, imprecise movement, chiefly affecting middle-aged and elderly people.

Huntington's disease

A hereditary disorder causing degeneration in many regions of the brain and spinal cord.

Dystonia

Dystonia is a movement disorder characterized by involuntary muscle spasms that can affect different areas of the body and often force certain parts of the body into abnormal movements and postures.

Tardive dyskinesia

A condition involving involuntary movements, often in the lower part of the face. It is commonly caused by taking a class of drugs called neuroleptics.

Essential tremor

A chronic neurological condition that presents as involuntary trembling in a part of the body. It occurs most often in the hands and arms, but may also affect the head, voice, and legs.

Parkinsonian syndromes

A set of neurological syndromes that cause problems with movement. Like Parkinson’s disease, all of these syndromes share the symptom of slow movements and muscle stiffness.
